about

This track represents the emotions that i felt over the constant situation between citizens and peace officers of the United States of America. The Ferguson, MO situation touched home for me simply because my young son Jordan lives there. Younger brothers and sister, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins experience this life while driving to work, going to school. They witness this on a daily basis.

Special thanks to Carlitta Durand for the feature and Ben Carter for the mix. Also, Kyle Dominick for the Graphics. I hope you all enjoy.

lyrics

Twinkle, twinkle let your light shine,
the pen to the paper igniting when i write rhymes,
they might blind you with visions that's three dimensional,
but keep your glasses on cause it's totally unconventional,
peep the photosynthesis, classic in it's sentencing,
thrash him and dismember him, inject the penicilin in,
observe the mental imaging killing innocent children and,
blame it on the stereotype, senate defending him,
it's time to stand up, it's time to protest,
until my feet bleed, excepting no less,
my son's in Ferguson, daughter's in SC,
hammers for stuntin my growth, who wanna test me,
see i'm picasso on the canvas of life,
on instrumentals i'm a nuke your group is barely a knife,
i push a message to the youth about the pain and the strife,
place your foot inside my sneakers take a peek in my life,

i got my hands up, so please don't shoot me,
please don't shoot me, please don't shoot me,
i'm not the urban kid that you were looking for,
i thought you took an oath to protect and serve,
(Repeat)

Twinkle twinkle let it shine bright,
the destiny of this country is in the limelight,
from Ferguson to Fallujah it's all similar,
the decimals of it all ain't adding up to it's integers,
painful as a splinter in the center of a palm reader,
preventing us from our rights will make us just all heat up,
non violent so my words, spark and light the beat up,
we only ask for justice they gonna make us light the street up,
from Martin to Malcolm Elijah Muhammad,
by any means, lift your voices till they fall like a comet,
as angry as the grip on a pistol with one in the chamber,
i'm focused, without remote i still channel my anger,
see i'm sleeping with the enemy working for uncle sam,
earning pennies over the dollar taking care of the fam,
but the message that i'm sending is placing me in a jam,
so if they kill me once this releases, remember who i am,
Barzz
